OUR STORY
A Family Legacy in Design and Craftsmanship
Since 2003, Curtain Ideas has been family owned and proudly built on a love for quality, creativity, and personal service. What began as a small local workshop has grown into a trusted name in custom curtains and blinds.
2003
Where It All Began
Founded by Sandi in her home garage, Silhouette Interior Creations (as it was then known) began as a small local business built on passion, creativity, and a love of quality design. Each curtain was handcrafted by Sandi and her husband, reflecting a personal touch that still defines the brand today.
2008
Growing Through Word of Mouth
As more homeowners discovered the difference of custom-made curtains, Silhouette Interior Creations quickly became a trusted local name. With every project, our reputation for detail and genuine service continued to grow.
2015
Moving Out of Home
When an opportunity to expand presented itself, the business was renamed Curtain Ideas and the growing team moved into its first showroom & factory in Cranbourne — allowing more control over quality and production, while keeping everything proudly made in-house.
2019
Designing For Every Room
By this time, Curtain Ideas had evolved into a full-service design studio, offering in-home and showroom consultations that helped clients bring their vision to life with
expert guidance.
2024
Expanding Our Showroom & Factory
Now a trusted name in the industry, Curtain Ideas moved into a larger, purpose-built showroom and factory, providing the space to expand our capabilities, refine our processes, and offer customers a more immersive design experience.
