Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to the most common questions about our curtains, blinds, shutters, and outdoor solutions — helping you make the best choices for your project.
What window covering options do you offer?
As a manufacturer & retailer with over 22 years experience, we are uniquely qualified to manufacture or supply any type of window covering you are after. The list is genuinely endless, and we encourage any inspiration or opinions so we can make exactly what you’re after.
I have no idea where to start, can you help me choose?
This is where we shine! Our massive showroom is packed with endless options, and our staff are uniquely qualified to take you through them all. We take into account things like: privacy, temperature, sun exposure, moisture and more to curate the selection for you.
Are your curtains and blinds actually made in Australia?
Absolutely! We’re more than happy to introduce you to our lovely seamstresses at our Clyde showroom.
Do your offer solutions for homes with special requirements, like prone to high humidity or moisture?
Yes — for such spaces, you can choose materials like faux‑wood (PVC) shutters or external‑grade blinds/shutters, which are moisture‑resistant and less susceptible to warping or damage compared with standard timber.
Can I combine different window treatments for more flexibility?
Definitely, Curtain Ideas encourages combining curtains & blinds for a layered look that brings the best of both worlds: elegant fabric softness plus precise light control, privacy, and insulation.
Can you install the window coverings, or do I need to install them myself?
We provide full service: from consultation and custom manufacture through to professional installation, so you don’t need to worry about measuring or fitting. However, if you prefer we are more than happy for you to install.
What is the turnaround time for new window coverings?
There are many factors that determine turn around time, such as factory capacity, the product chosen and the availability of the chosen materials. We would suggest to account for a minimum of 2 – 4 weeks. For a more accurate time frame, please ask one of our staff.
