What we've found in Cranbourne East homes
Curtain Ideas is a family-owned curtain and blind business based in Clyde North, about 5 minutes from Cranbourne East. We measure, make and install custom curtains, blinds and shutters, with a free consultation in your home.
Most of our Cranbourne East jobs are whole-house fit outs. What we’ve found is that families here often moved in with cheap blinds or none at all, and a year or two later want to do it properly.
Bedrooms facing east get bright early mornings, so blockout is usually the first thing asked for.
Cranbourne East grew quickly through the 2010s, with estates around Hunt Club and Casey Fields. Many homes came with basic builder blinds, often thin vertical or roller blinds that let light in at the edges. As kids get older and rooms change, families tend to upgrade the bedrooms first, then the living areas. For living rooms we often suggest double roller blinds: a sunscreen for daytime privacy and a blockout for movie nights, on one bracket. For street-facing windows, sheer curtains soften the look of a new home and give privacy without making the room dark.
