What we've found in Mornington Peninsula homes
Curtain Ideas is a family-owned curtain and blind business based in Clyde North. We come to homes across the Mornington Peninsula for a free measure and quote, then make and install everything with our own team.
Our Peninsula jobs tend to be some of our biggest: whole homes, often coastal or holiday houses, where the owners want everything done properly once. What we’ve found is that Peninsula homes ask more of their window furnishings. Big windows facing the water bring glare and fading, salt air is hard on cheap fittings, and holiday homes need blinds that look after the house while it’s empty.
From the established homes around Mornington and Mount Eliza to beach houses further down at Capel Sound, most Peninsula homes are built around the light and the view. Sunscreen rollers cut glare off the water while keeping the outlook, and sheer curtains soften big living areas without making them dark. For bedrooms and holiday homes, blockout rollers or lined curtains keep rooms cool and protect floors and furniture from fading while you’re away. Because we come to you, we bring samples so you can see them in your own light.
